KW Suspension V5 for Lamborghini Huracan 2014+

The KW coilover suspension Variant 5 for the Lamborghini Huracán is based on the displacement damper technology (KW Solid Piston Technology) developed for GT3 Touring Car Championship. Compared to other dampers with KW Solid Piston Technology the working piston is not overflowed by the damper fluid as in conventional damping systems. The piston pushes the oil column in the vibration damper directly into the valve carrier, which is separate from the working chamber. As a result, much higher damping forces can be generated.

The KW coilover suspension Variant 5 provides the Lamborghini Huracan (724) with mechanical driving precision combined with neutral handling at the dynamic limits of the super sports car. Within the margin of the parts certificate, KW Variant 5 allows the low center of gravity of the Huracán to be lowered continuously by an additional 10 to 25 millimeters at the front axle and between 15 to 35 millimeters at the rear axle.

The recommended suspension setup for the Lamborghini Huracán (724) in the damping can be precisely adjusted directly on the damper independently in the low-speed and high-speed ranges of the compression and rebound damping with 13 clicks each. If the rebound stage opens, the ride comfort will increase. When the rebound valve is closed, body pitch and roll are reduced accordingly. Handling becomes even more direct than in the standard version. The rebound stage also has a direct influence on the springs.

In addition, the compression damping allows further influence to be applied on the steering behavior, grip level and rolling comfort. In more simple terms, it is the task of the rebound stage to connect the body to the road and to influence the rebound, while the compression stage supports the compression. In addition, the compression stage also supports the body structure. Due to the displacement principle, the KW coilover suspension Variant 5 provides much better support for the entire body structure. As a result, perfect damping is achieved even with low suspension travel.

Renowned high performance transmission manufacturer quaife engineering is pleased to announce the launch of an automatic torque biasing limited slip differential for the front axle of the 2009 onwards nissan r35 gt-r supercar.
A direct replacement for the “open” nissan differential fitted to the front of the 3,799cc twin-turbo v6 four-wheel drive r35 gt-r, installation of the quaife atb limited slip differential realises a multitude of dynamic benefits.
The quaife atb helical gear limited slip differential is safe, progressive and seamless in operation and smoothly biases the engine’s torque across the nissan gt-r’s front axle to the wheel with the most grip. Under heavy acceleration the quaife differential functions to reduce wheelspin and is highly effective during aggressive standing starts, particularly in slippery conditions. For fast road use and circuit driving the quaife atb differential tames the gt-r’s tendency to understeer, working in perfect harmony with the r35’s attesa e-ts four wheel drive system and electronic vehicle dynamics control program to provide a more neutral and driver-satisfying chassis balance.
Under heaving braking, the quaife differential works in reverse to spread the load across the axle to avoid wheel lock-ups, optimise deceleration, improve stability and minimise abs intrusion.
In practice the quaife atb makes the nissan r35 gt-r a quicker road car, particularly across challenging terrain. On the circuit the installation of the quaife atb differential leads to faster, more consistent lap times, with reduced front tyre wear and an increased sense of driver involvement and control – vital factors on a model that’s often used on track and is frequently a candidate for engine tuning work. Quaife front differential is automatically biases torque, with a constantly varying degree, to the wheel that has traction. This massively reduces inside wheel slip without any negative side effects.
